Former Wasps prop returns to the club
Bristol Rugby are delighted to announce the signing of prop Jason Hobson until the end of the 2010-2011 season.
The 27 year old made 62 appearances during his previous spell with the club, before leaving to join London Wasps in 2009. Opportunities were limited at Adams Park and Hobson had his contract mutually terminated after a prolonged spell on the sideline through injury.
Paul Hull had seen his front row options reduced after losing the services of two of his squad members. Mako Vunipola is unavailable for selection after his call-up to the England U-20 squad, while fellow prop Billy Moss has been recalled by Bath Rugby as cover.
Hull said, “We’re very pleased to welcome Jason back to the club. We’re at a crucial period in our season and without Billy Moss and Mako Vunipola we’d have been left with only three props and this could have put us in a vulnerable position at an important time.”
