Bristol Rugby 7-41 Richmond Ladies

Bristol Ladies fell to their first defeat of the season on Sunday as Richmond secured a seven-try victory.

After three tries from Richmond, Bristol scored just before the break through Claire Molloy, with Rebecca Hughes converting, bringing the half time score to 17-7.

But Richmond showed their dominance in the second half, adding four more to end the game with a 41- 7 win.

Whilst not the start to the season that Bristol wanted, the team featured a lot of players stepping up to the first teamfor the first time.

Head Coach LJ Adams praised the player’s attitude throughout the game, saying: "It was great to see the commitment each and every player gave to the Bristol shirt. They never gave up and continued to push towards the try line at every opportunity.

"We’ve got some things to work on in training this week, mainly strengthening our defense and improving our tackling, but overall I’m happy with the way the team is developing and looking forward to playing at home next weekend."
