Glen Townson joined Bristol Rugby in November 2011 on an initial six-month loan deal.

The former Newcastle lock-forward agreed a deal to remain at the Memorial Stadium on a permanent basis for the 2012/13 season.

Previously the England U18s captain, Townson came through the ranks at Sale Sharks before enjoying successful spells with Doncaster Knights and the Falcons.
