Eagle Project

The Eagle Project is a rolling 12-14 week rugby programme delivered over two terms of the academic year, aimed specifically girls in Year 8, that will not only attact girls to the game, but also help to retain them in the sport as they progress through school and into adulthood.
The project will provide each school with regular coaching evey week culminating in a Year 8 girls rugby festival held at the nearest accredtied rugby club that has a dedicated Girls Junior section. The festival not only acts as a great celebration of the progress made, but provides the girls with a rugby club to continue their newly found passion for the game.
Furthermore, we will give every girl who completes the Eagle Project programme the chance to play rugby against another Eagle Project school on the Memorial Stadium pitch at half time during a Bristol Rugby home fixture.
The aim of the programme is to provide all girls with the opportunity to continue their involvement with rugby, long beyond the culmination of their schools sessions, so enjoyment is a key factor!

Bristol Rugby Community Foundation are proud to be in a direct funding partnership with Great Western Round Table and RFU and look forward to linking up with Bristol Ladies who will be volunteering their time during delivery of the Eagle Project.
