Adam Taylor - EPDG Strength & Conditioning Intern

Adam Taylor has been an EPDG Strength and Conditioning intern at Bristol Rugby for 12 months. Adam is in his final year at the University of Gloucestershire studying Strength and Conditioning (Bsc) as well as working as a fitness coach at David Lloyd’s leisure club.

Adam has played and coached a range of sports including rugby, football and cricket.  

 

 

 

Simon Weaver - EPDG Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Simon Weaver joined Bristol in the summer of 2011 as EPDG Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Simon currently heads up the sports conditioning department at the Colston’s School and also coaches UWE men’s rugby first team.

Weaver graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Conditioning and Coaching from the University of West England. Further to his degree, Simon has acquired additional qualifications including speed and agility, Olympic lifting and is working towards his level 3 RFU coaching badge.

 

 

Dave Alcock - Chartered Sports & Exercise Psychologist

Dave joined Bristol Rugby on a consultancy basis in the summer of 2011.

Dave offers Sport Psychology support to both the first team and Full Time Academy squads. Dave qualified as a Chartered Sport & exercise Psychologist (C Psychol) in 2006.

Over the past fifteen years, Dave has worked in a variety of elite sport environments including Warrington Wolves Super League team, Bristol City Football Club as well as with international rowers, pistol shooters and hockey players. 

Dave has a level of expertise in mental health issues in sport and co-leads the Masters qualification in Sport & Exercise Psychology at UWE.
