Mike Hall - Academy Manager
Mike Hall joined Bristol at the beginning of the 2011/12 season.
Hall worked with the Ospreys for two seasons before spending five years at Worcester Warriors as a Performance Analyst.
He graduated from Exeter University in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Exercise & Sports Science.
Hall is an RFU Level 4 Qualified Coach.
Gary Townsend - Academy Coach & Player Development Manager
Gary Townsend joined Bristol at the beginning of the 2014/15 season.
Townsend – National Player Development Manager with the RFU since 2010 – agrees a three-year deal.
As well as working closely with local schools and combination clubs to increase the quality of provision available to players in the city, Townsend’s role will encompass all aspects of player and coach development across the Academy's Developing Player Programme (DPP), Elite Player Development Group (EPDG) and Full Time Academy.
Jonathan Harris-Wright - Academy Strength & Conditioning Coach
Jonathan Harris-Wright joined Bristol Rugby ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
Harris-Wright is responsible for the conditioning of the full-time Academy members, as well as overseeing the the Club's EPDG fitness programmes.
Having studied at St Mary's University, the 27 year old - whose brother Jason has previously represented the Club - spent two seasons with London Irish Academy.
Eoin Power - Academy Physiotherapist
Eoin Power joined as Academy Physiotherapist ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
Having formerly worked as a Physiotherapist with the Craig Bellamy Foundation in Sierra Leone, Power will work with the Academy players to monitor and aid athletic development.
Power studied at University College Dublin and Southampton University, before completing an internship with Bristol Rugby Club.
Dani Vicary - EPDG & First Team Sports Rehabilitator
Dani Vicary joined Bristol Rugby at the beginning of the 2012/13 season.
Dani graduated from University West of England in 2011, having studied Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation BSc (Hons).
Accredited by BASRaT (British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers), she has completed an internship at Gloucester Rugby, as well as working with Hartpury College providing pitchside cover for the U18 men and women’s sides.
George Van Klaveren - EPDG Strength & Conditioning Coach
George van Klaveren recently became a full time member of the academy having been first team intern during the 2013/14 season.
George was previously a player in the Harlequins rugby academy before graduating from UWE Hartpury with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Conditioning. He is currently completing an MSc in Strength & Conditioning at the University of Gloucestershire.
George is responsible for the conditioning of the EPDG academy players as well as assisting the full time academy and first team.
