Clash with London Wasps relocated

Bristol Academy U18s’ clash with London Wasps U18s on Saturday has been moved to Maidenhead RFC (11am KO).

Originally scheduled to be played at Cleve RFC, the decision was made to relocate to Maidenhead’s IRB approved 4G surface, following concerns over the deteriorating conditions in Bristol.

Academy Manager Mike Hall said: “Unfortunately, we’ve had to cancel the game at Cleve. The groundsmen there were doubtful that the pitches would be OK, so we took the early decision to move the game to ensure it goes ahead.

“The facilities at Maidenhead are superb, and the boys are chomping at the bit to get back on the field in a Bristol shirt and put in a good performance.

“We appreciate Cleve RFC’s co-operation with this and we’re looking forward to Saturday’s game against a talented Wasps side.”
