Hall: Academy Set For Exeter Test
Bristol Academy U18s ready for West Country derby
Bristol Academy U18s will look to end their barren run when Exeter Chiefs visit North Bristol RFC on Sunday (2pm KO).
Bristol suffered successive defeats at the hands of London Irish and Harlequins in 2012, but Academy Manager Mike Hall is confident that his players can turn their fortunes around.
"Some of the footage from the second half versus Quins did not make for pretty viewing on Monday night in our video analysis session,” he said.
“However, there were some extremely positive aspects to our play in the first half. With better execution and a little more accuracy, we could have been three or four tries up at half time.
"As a group, we have agreed to get significantly better in some specific areas on Sunday and look forward to the challenge of facing Exeter Chiefs.”
The Academy U18s follow Sunday’s clash with fixtures against Wasps U18s (Saturday, 2 February at Cleve RFC – 2pm KO), Bath U18s (Monday, 11 February at the Recreation Ground – 7.45pm KO), and Saracens (Sunday, 17 February at Clifton RFC – 12.30pm KO).
The players and staff of the Academy would be delighted to see as many fans as possible supporting the next generation of Bristol Rugby players.
