Bristol Academy U15s 18-7 Swansea Schools U15s

A combined Bristol Schools & Bristol Academy U15s outfit saw off Swansea Schools U15s 18-7 last Thursday.

Bristol scored three tries at Bristol Saracens to record an impressive win. Dan Thurston (John Cabot & Old Bristolians) crossed for the home side, while Akibodun Akiwumi (Colstons School) grabbed a brace.

Thurston’s intercept score and a penalty goal from Alex Walder (Gordano School & Gordano Sharks) gave Bristol a narrow 8-7 lead at the interval before Akiwumi went over twice in the second period.

Head Coach Ali Baker told bristolrugby.co.uk: “It was a very pleasing performance.

“As a squad and individuals, the players all stepped up to the challenge from Swansea Schools. It was good to see what we have worked on in training being used so effectively in the match."

All of the staff and players would like to extend their sincere thanks to Bristol Saracens for allowing the fixture to go ahead.
