U15 group take part in RFU Southern Academies Tournament

Bristol Rugby U15s competed in the RFU Southern Academies Tournament on Sunday at Harrow School.

The event, which is used by the RFU as a tool for early identification of future international players, saw Bristol play Saracens, London Irish, Harlequins, Wasps, Bath and Exeter.

Coach Keith Leaker commented “Against a very physical and, in some cases older, opposition the players grew together as a group.

“Taking ownership of their squad and showing a spirit that will hopefully stand them in good stead for future events. The willingness to keep the ball alive and attempt to attack the wider spaces in the later games was good to see."

The team will come together again in the summer to prepare and play in a second tournament at Bristol Grammar School in late August.
