BRIS Trust Donate £2,500 to the Bristol Academy
At the recent Bristol home game against Birmingham and Solihull, the BRIS Trust presented a "Big Cheque" for £2,500 to the Club as part of their support of the Bristol Academy as Partner Sponsors for the 2010/11 season.
The funds had been raised by four gallant supporters of the Trust who kayaked down the Thames in 3 days.
The funds will be used by the Bristol Academy to fund playing kit and 2 new coaches-cum-talent scouts who will spread the Club's net for spotting and developing young players.
Academy Manager Liam Middleton said : "The funding that the BRIS Trust has provided to the Academy this season has been outstanding and really helps in supporting the pathway of players in the Bristol area."
BRIS Trust Chairman Andrew Humphreys said : "We were asked to provide financial support for the Academy and have set to it with relish. We are of course delighted to support the future of Bristol rugby."
