Radnor Road was only ever going to be a temporary home and in 1921 the Memorial Ground was opened.
No ALT tag specifiedThis venue, dedicated as a memorial to local rugby players who fell in the war, has been the Club's home ever since. Bristol defeated Cardiff 19 - 3 in the opening match.

The inter-war years, particularly the twenties were happy years for the Club. Other notable players of the period included Don Burland, 'Bunny' Chantrill, Tom Brown and Jimmy Barrington (left), all of whom played for England.

The fiftieth anniversary was celebrated in 1938 but the next few years saw a slight fall in performances and the final inter-war season was a poor one.
