After an impressive display against Coventry last weekend, attention now turns to a tough fixture at Plymouth Albion. Paul Hull spoke about the team's victory on Friday before previewing Bristol's trip to Brickfields on Saturday.
Last Friday, Bristol took on Coventry at the Memorial Stadium and in front of the Sky cameras, came away victorious with a total of eight tries scored by the home side. Paul, commenting on the game, said

"For us, last weekend was a definite step in the right direction, but we're not going to get carried away with one performance. We need to back that up - and that's what we have talked about this week. If we can start to back up those performances week after week, it will be a lot more pleasing than just a one-off victory or performance. We've got to go to Plymouth and do it all over again. It will be a tough away match but it starts all over again for us this weekend."

Bristol's next opposition, Plymouth Albion, beat second placed Nottingham away from home last weekend. Commenting on the effect a victory of that kind can have, Paul said,

"We know the pitfalls of that, with Doncaster having won for the first time the week before we played them - it gives you a bit of confidence. It's all about momentum and confidence in rugby - and when you turn the corner or hit a bit of form, you want to keep that going. Plymouth will want to do that this weekend."

Looking back to previous games this season, Paul was eager to stress the importance of not getting carried away by certain results,

"We're not going to beat ourselves up with one loss or get carried away with one victory - we just want to keep performing and learning. We have to learn from our defeat against Doncaster, and we might be facing a similar type of animal at Plymouth, so it will be interesting to see how far we've come in two weeks."

"Yes, we want to win every game - you don't go into any game planning to lose. But we are building and it's a young team, both in age and in our development. We know the expectations are high and we're pleased that people believe in us that much - but we're steadily going on our way."
