Bristol Rugby Head Coach Richard Hill has confirmed his squad ahead of this weekend's opening pre-season friendly against the Exeter Chiefs.
Prop Mark Irish, who didn't feature in a Bristol shirt last season as he was on a season long loan from Newbury Blues, gets an early chance to impress as he is confirmed to start at tight head and is joined in the front row by Scott Linklater and Peter Bracken.
In the backs, following his excellent performances in the Junior World Cup in Wales, Luke Eves has been named at outside centre, alongside Irish International and Bristol veteran Kevin Maggs.
Former Exeter favourite Junior Fatialofa could get the opportunity to perform against his old club should he get off the bench. Also in with a chance of appearing in the first preseason game are new signings Adrian Jarvis and Welsh International Robert Sidoli.
Joe El Abd will make his first appearance as the new official club captain when he runs out at Sandy Park this coming Saturday, kick off 15.00.
The game will present a tough test for Bristol who have been based at the University of Exeter for a preseason training camp since Tuesday as the Chiefs, who will be gearing up for a possible promotion campaign, will be looking to benchmark themselves against Guinness Premiership opposition
