Ronnie hopes to feature in the Help for Heroes XV alongside fellow 2003 World Cup winners Will Greenwood, Dan Luger, Martin Johnson and captain Lawrence Dallaglio.

“I’m looking forward to meeting up with some old acquaintances and meeting some new ones!” said Regan.

“This is a very good cause. It’s our chance to raise awareness and some much needed money for the men and women who have risked their lives for us."

“Although it’s a Guinness Premiership weekend I have full support from my club, Bristol Rugby who were happy to let me go and play in such a worthwhile match.”

The Help for Heroes XV, managed by former England captain Phil de Glanville, will face an International XV managed by Ieuan Evans and captained by Scott Gibbs.
