Jonathan Webb's team featuring representatives from Bristol Rugby emerged triumphant in the Superteams 2008 challenge at Clifton College on Sunday.
After a hugely successful inaugural event in 2006 and, with its continued growth and popularity in 2007, this year Superteams was again looking to find the city's most "powerful" business and, in turn, raise money for Fairbridge and Young Bristol, local charities helping local people.
Superteams, which is being supported by the Evening Post and Western Daily Press, sees companies and organisations from across the city go head to head with international sports celebrities from the world of rugby and rowing in a gruelling test of their fitness, power, courage and technique.
Each participating team featured a mixed team of 10 people competing in the following events:
100m sprint relay, 800m run, rowing machine distance race, gym tests (squats and dips), 50m swim relay, rugby scrummage machine challenge, football dribble and shoot challenge and a cricket challenge.

And it was the team including Chevvy Pennycook, Redford Pennycook, Mariano Sambucetti, Dan Ward-Smith and physio Penny Porter headed up by former Bristol and England fullback Webb who emerged triumphant.
It all came down to the last event with Redford Pennycook pipping the SIFT team runner to the post to win by just a few hundreths of a second.
All the team members played their part but a special mention to Dan Ward-Smith who managed 719 metres in 2 minutes on the rowing machine which was a new event record.
