Bristol Rugby : Newport & 2028 Club

Bristol Rugby announced in spring 2008 that they would be playing their home fixtures at Rodney Parade, Wales from September 2008 for two seasons whilst the Memorial Stadium is redeveloped. The work was set to take approximately 18 months so Bristol should have been returning to the new stadium in time for the 2010-11 season. In the interim period, Bristol reached agreement with Newport Rugby to play their home fixtures at Rodney Parade.
However, on June 3rd 2008, Bristol Rovers announced that the re-development scheme will be delayed for 12 months. Therefore, Bristol Rugby will play its home fixtures at the Memorial Stadium in 2008-9. This section of the website will now be maintained in order to provide as much information as possible regarding any future move to Newport including details of season ticket packages.
The first update is that Bristol Rugby can confirm that anyone who has already purchased a season ticket for 2008-9 at Rodney Parade will have their purchase honoured at the price paid.
2028 Club
As part of the overall exercise, the club launched the 2028 club which is an exclusive twenty year membership which offers 20 year season tickets for a one off payment of £2,500 per seat (£2,500 + VAT) for the corporate version.
The funds raised from the 2028 Club will help underpin the future of Bristol Rugby Club and give it a solid foundation for years to come. Membership is open to both individual and corporate customers.
The tickets are fully transferable on an annual basis so can be passed onto family members or others within an organisation.
Despite, Bristol Rugby staying at the Memorial Stadium in 2008-9, we are continuing to make 2028 Club memberships available. LATEST UPDATE!!! - Individual purchasers can now pay for their 2028 tickets in installments. The purchase price will be £2,600 inclusive of VAT.
The initial period of availability will be from launch until 31 August 2008. The 2028 Installment Option membership will be paid for by 4 equal installments of £650. The first installment of £650 will be paid on application and on payment we will issue a membership letter and invoice to the customer.
The second, third and fourth installments of £650 each will be payable on:
- 30 November 2008 - 28 February 2009 and - 30 June 2009.
We will issue an invoice to the customer for each installment 14 days prior to the due payment date. If any payment is not received on time the membership can be cancelled at the Club's discretion.
