Bristol Academy have two sections to their ELITE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT GROUP (EPDG).

Group are sorted by age with the 13-15yr olds making up the Bronze Group and the 16-18yrs olds forming the Silver Group.

As per the Bristol Academy Pathway, EPDG players are selected from the Bristol Schools of Rugby or from schools and clubs in the area. These players are considered to have the potential to enter the Academy Gold Group one day and possibly play for Bristol Rugby 1st team.

EPDG players undergo weekly training at the Clifton base incorporating Physical Development and Skill Development. They also receive training and education relating to diet and lifestyle as well as a range of subjects and skills that will enhance their potential to become elite rugby athletes.
