David joined Bristol Rugby on November 1st 2006 from Waikato Chiefs until June 2009.
A goal kicking fly half, also capable of playing centre, he made his All Black debut against Ireland in 2006.
Made a promising start to his Bristol Rugby career and pulled the strings in several key wins but a compound fracture to his little finger resulted in him missing ten weeks.
Returned before the end of the season and will be a key figure in 2007-8.
